The vines, grown in 90 hectares of vineyards, are laid out on trellises, "Sylvoz"-type pruning and a 3.5 x 2.5 metre plantation frame.
These vineyards, together with a further 78 hectares of our partners´ plantations, gives us a total of 168 hectares of our own vineyards.
Native grape varieties are planted: Albariño 70%, Loureiro 15%, Caiño Blanco 15%. These noble varieties, cultivated rationally yet respecting local tradition, allow us to produce quality wines year after year, thanks to a an extraordinarily beneficial combination of climate and soil.
The weathere conditions for the 2008 campaign were marked by constant atmospheric instability and non-typical weather during each season. Temperatures were unusually high in winter and rainfall was very closely concentrated.
Temperatures fell slightly in early spring, although they rose sharply again soon afterwards. The changeable springtime weather conditions, but with high temperatures on the wole, were accompanied by heavy rain and strong winds.
The summer was a similar story, with wide-ranging temperatures – hot days followed by sudden drops of up to 10ºC within just 24 hours.
The end of the ripening season, in other words, the latter half of September and beginning of October, was characterised by a many hours of unbroken sunshine, high temperatures and pratically no rain, wich provided optimal conditions for the right balance of acids and sugars to develop in the grape, along with staggered ripening of the different varieties. This enabled us to harvest the grapes plot by plot.
In accordance with our environment policy, we rationalise the use of chemicals in our vineyards, assuring the high quality of our raw materials as well as avoiding the presence of extraneous residue on the grapes.
Our Winery's mission is to make unique wines, with their own identity, within certain strict quality limits.

Ongoing care and control of our vineyards during each growing cycle.
Separate vinification of all varieties.
For fermentation we use our own patented yeast, excluding any strains brought in from outside.
